Riyadh: Saudi Arabia will continue its efforts to bring home the 13 remaining Saudis still at the US detention camp in Guantanamo, the Saudi Interior minister said. A Saudi daily yesterday published a list of the remaining prisoners.

According to the Al Watan newspaper, the remaining Saudis at Guantanamo are: Ahmad Zaid Salem Zuheir, Jubran Sa'ad Al Qah'tani, Khalid Mohammad Al Zahrany, Khalid Mohammad Al Saif, Sa'ad Mohammad Hussain Al Qah'tani, Shaker Abdul Rahim Amer, Abdul Rahman Shilaiby Ouwaidha, Abdul Aziz Kidaim Salem Al Aili, Gassan Abdullah Gazi, Mohammad Abdul Rahman Own Al Shammary, Mohammad Manei Al Shalaan Al Qah'tani, Mohammad Mardhi Eisa Al Zaharny and Yousuf Khalil Abdullah.

Others already freed

Earlier this week, ten Saudis returned home from the US detention camp. Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, the Saudi interior minister was quoted this week as saying that his country will continue its efforts to bring home the remaining Saudis in the camp.

Meanwhile, the Saudi interior ministry is expected to start investigations into 56 other Saudis already freed from Guantanamo.

The 56 represent the last four groups to have been handed over to the Kingdom. All prisoners freed from Guantanamo are subject to a psychosocial, religious and health programmes aimed at helping them to integrate into Saudi society.
