Moscow: President Vladimir Putin will travel to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan next week, the Kremlin announced yesterday.

The Russian leader will visit Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on February 11-12.

On February 12, Putin will fly to Qatar for meetings with the Emir Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani before heading to Amman for talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II, the Kremlin said in a statement.

The trip will be the first for Putin to any of the three countries and comes as Moscow has increased its participation in trying to resolve conflicts in the Middle East.
