Riyadh: Those opposing the employment of women will be given a chance to take part and present their views in the upcoming seventh national dialogue forum, said Faisal Bin Muammar, the secretary-general of the Riyadh-based King Abdul Aziz Centre for National Dialogue (KACND).

The function will be under the title Work and Employment Fields: A Dialogue Between Society and Employment Institutions. All parties concerned with employment will be invited to participate in the forum, the KACND secretary -general added.

The forum will be held in Dhahran on June 8, Abha on September 10, Jeddah on October 29 and in Riyadh on November 19. The idea behind having this geographical diversity is to enable a large number of participants to take part in the discussions, Faisal said.

The secretary-general of KACND noted that the seventh forum is as important as the sixth forum, which discussed education. He added that ministers concerned with the employment process would be invited to take part in the forum. Officials from the Saudi chambers of commerce and industry, development funds and human rights organisations will also be invited, he pointed out.

KACND aims to disseminate the culture of dialogue among society members, he clarified.
