Sharjah: Hareesh Haridas hit a stroke-filled unbeaten century to guide CSS Group to a convincing eight-wicket victory over Ibsons Cricket Club in the quarterfinals of the 34th Bukhair League 'A' Division Tournament at Sharjah stadium.
Hareesh did the bulk of the scoring, hitting 89 off 106 balls, as mighty CSS Group overhauled Ibsons' modest 193 all out with ease in the 34th over.
Ibsons owed heavily to Parvaiz Nazir for consolidating their innings in the face of some disciplined bowling by CSS Group.
Nazir scored 74, including four fours and two sixes, while Waheed Ahmad made 30 off 43 balls with three fours.
CSS Group, one of the favourites to win the longest-running tournament in the UAE, simply dominated the Ibsons attack, racing to the victory target in 33.3 overs. Hareesh led the batting charge in the company of Naemullah Eslam, who also remained not out (on 35 off 33 balls with three fours and one six).
