Dubai: Al Nasr's Iranian players Mehrzad Madanchi and Reda Enayati have missed the side's training camp in Slovakia due to visa procedure.
The pair are still waiting for permission to enter the Eastern European country as are other players, including UAE nationals.
"Some countries ask to apply for a visa two to three weeks before and it could take more than one month in other countries," Al Nasr club manager said Ahmad Al Gaith told Gulf News yesterday.
"We applied for the two Iranians two weeks before, but it seems it takes time until we get it.
"We hope they can receive it in a couple of days to join the training camp and play in the warm-up matches," he added.
The Al Nasr club manager said that it was not only the Iranians who had been delayed.
"Also some Emirati players visa was not issued in time.
"Some players couldn't join the training camp from the beginning, Humaid Abbas and Esma Yousuf will leave today after getting the entry visa."
Al Nasr are set to play warm-up games on August 2nd, 6th and 10th before returning to Dubai in the middle of next month.
A couple of weeks later the team will leave for another training camp in a GCC country to be decided for three more games.
That will be their final preparation for the UAE's first professional league season, which kicks off on September 19.
