Dubai: Hilal Saeed, Al Jazira club's newest recruit, said money was not behind his signing.
"Money was not the reason for leaving Al Ain and joining Al Jazira. I have special reasons which I prefer to keep to myself," said Saeed. The UAE midfielder said he didn't expect his release will so quickly.
"I will not forget the glorious days with Al Ain club and I will not forget the support I got from them.
"I could not reach the good standard which I am presenting now without Al Ain taking care of me. They played a significant role in developing my standard," he said.
But Saeed said clubs and fans needed to get used to transfers as part of the new professional league.
"Professionalism is a new lifestyle for our players and they have to deal with it as it is. In professionalism players transfers are not strange and supporters don't have to be angry. "It's hard for them to see the player who played with them for long years playing for another club, but that is professionalism and we have to accept it."
