Dubai: The four player team captained by Calum Mills (3) won Sheila Alban's Lady Captain's Day sponsored by Liali Jewellery at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Friday.
The team of Mills, J. C. Hut (16), Catherine Hut (19) and Pacifico Manuel (14) scored 56.8 nett in the Scramble format with 10 % allowance of the combined team's handicaps.
Highlights included a front nine of 30 and a back nine of 32 including 11 gross birdies and a solitary bogey on hole 11 having started on hole 7 in this shotgun start.
The Lady Captain Sheila Alban (20) steered her team to fourth place with team members Emirates Golf Club Lady Captain Rekha Bandopadyay (9), Mike Murray (4) and ARGC Vice-Club Captain Bob Fletcher (6) on 58.1 being edged out of third by the team captained by Kevan Draper on a back nine countback.
