Dubai: Al Nasr stamped their authority as the best tennis club in the country with a fluent 2-0 win against Al Wasl to claim the 12th Falak Holding Ramadan Tennis Cup at the Al Nasr tennis courts on Sunday.
Al Nasr's Hamad Abbas Al Janahi easily got the better of Tunisian Davis Cup player Essam Al Jalali 6-2, 6-1.
Dris Depla then put the issue beyond doubt with a hard-fought 7-6, 6-4 win against Khalid Al Hassani.
Shaikh Saeed Bin Hasher Al Maktoum was the chief guest and presented the trophies to the winners in the presence of Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Mansour Abdul Rahman Falaknaz and Hamdan Sulaiman of sponsors Falak Holding.
In the under-16 tournament, Al Nasr once again took the honours with an outright win against Al Wasl.
And the Al Nasr Club completed a clean sweep by winning the under-12 competition with an emphatic win over Al Wasl.
Meanwhile, Hamad Abbas Al Janahi will meet Walid Jalali in the men's final of the Shaikh Saeed Bin Mohammad Al Maktoum Ramadan Cup that concludes in Mirdiff tonight.
Walid Jalali got the better of younger brother Essam 6-2, 6-2, while Al Janahi powered his way past Australian Troy Gilham 6-3, 6-2 to set a meeting in the men's final.
Grace Talih also advanced to the girls under-16 final with a swift 6-3, 6-4 win over Maria Bulilan, while Emily Leenen got the better of Fatma Abbas Al Janahi in the second semifinal.
Alexey Poperin will meet Pierre Renaudi in the boy's under-12 final. Poperin beat Ishan Shabul 6-2, 6-2, while Renaudi got the better of Majid Bushaqar by an identical scoreline.
Julien Monti will meet Amir Madanchi in the boys under-16 final.
