Dubai: Al Nasr clinched the volleyball President's Cup after defeating Al Wasl 3-0 (25-20, 25-16 and 25-19) in the final held at Saeed Bin Maktoum indoor sports hall at Al Shabab club.
This was the second title Al Nasr have won in the current season after winning the Zayed Cup last month.
Shaikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the final and presented the Al Nasr players with the trophy and gold medals.
Mohammad Jalfar, volleyball association board chairman, Dr Ahmad Al Sherrif, Dubai Sports Council secretary general and other sport officialls also attended the final.

Al Nasr dominated the match from the beginning with powerful smashes by their two professionals, Hesham Jammady and Ali Jarboo, both from Algeria.
They led 5-2, 12-5 and 20-12 until winning the set 25-20. Al Nasr continued their dominance in the second set with Mohammad Al Nuaimi and Rashid Ayoub showing excellent form.
Al Wasl levelled 13-13, but Al Nasr took the lead again with strong blocks on the net and unstoppable smashes by Jammady and Jarboo to win the set 25-19.
In the third and last set, Al Wasl levelled 7-7, but again the well experienced Al Nasr spikers recovered to advance 15-10 and never looked back until they settled the issue by winning the set and the match 25-19.
Mohammad Al Nuaimi the Al Nasr skipper said that his team recovered in time to win the last two titles of the season.
"We proved those wrong who said that the Al Nasr volleyball team is finished and we cannot win any titles. We have emerged champions and we can win titles at any time," said Al Nuaimi.
He said that they played a good season winning two titles. "We lost the league title and the FA Cup, but we won the silver medal in the GCC clubs tournament, Zayed Cup and President's Cup and this is an excellent achievement," he said.
