Pop star Madonna was left disappointed after her 50th birthday celebrations when several of her guests failed to turn up.
She hosted a lavish party on Saturday at the Volstead nightclub in London's West End which was attended by some of her family members and friends, reports contactmusic.com.
"I am really disappointed. There are a lot of people who are not here tonight, but thanks to everyone who did make it,” Madonna reportedly told guests.
Her daughter, Lourdes, played a song for her from hit musical Fame on a grand piano at the club and British director-husband Guy Ritchie presented her with $500,000 (Dh1.8 million) worth of jewellery.
