Beijing: An assailant stabbed three security officers to death in China’s far north on Tuesday, the fourth day of the Beijing Olympics, media reported.
The officers were attacked at a road checkpoint about 30 kilometres from Kashgar in the Xinjiang region, news agency Xinhua said. One other official was wounded.
This is the same area where a man killed 16 policemen in an attack over a week ago.
Police began investigations into the attack.
