Nairobi: At least 13 people, including six children were killed after dozens of people with assault rifles and machetes stormed a village in western Kenya early on Monday, police said.

A spokesman for the National Police of Kenya said the fighting was over land and was not related to the country’s disputed presidential election.

The village of Embakasi, around 300 miles northwest from Nairobi, witnesses frequent, violent clashes over land.
