Lahore: Aitzaz Ahsan, head of the Supreme Court bar association, called on President Pervez Musharraf to resign.
He was speaking after arriving at the High Court building in Lahore on Friday, a day after authorities freed him from nearly three months of detention.
Ahsan was put under house arrest after President Pervez Musharraf declared a state of emergency in November.
Ahsan said: "We demand President Musharraf step down because his presence is causing suicide attacks and promoting acts of terror in the country. Our struggle for the restoration of democracy and an independent judiciary will continue."
