Dubai: Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), arrived in Dubai yesterday to meet his children, Gulf News has learnt.

Zardari who was also accompanied by another important PPP member Rehman Malik, is expected to stay in Dubai at least for two days.

"The PPP co-chairman is here in Dubai to take some rest after hectic election schedule and subsequent marathon meetings," confirmed a PPP leader. His father Hakim Ali Zardari is also now in Dubai.

With Zardari in Dubai, the name of the new prime minister would not be announced for the next two days, PPP sources said.

"The announcement is expected after a party meeting Zardari has called in Islamabad on March 6," said a party leader.
