Karachi: Seven people drowned and another is reported missing after a boat carrying day-trippers sank in the Arabian sea, two miles off the coast from Karachi, officials said on Monday.
Twenty people were rescued after the boat sprang a leak and sank while returning to shore just before sunset on Sunday, an Air Force official added.
Air Commodore Khalid Farooq Chishti said, "Boats from a nearby Pakistan Air Force base were sent to the scene, and they recovered five bodies last night, and two more this morning".
